1977: “A Catholic landmark in the Dayton area for generations, this old administration building of the Society of Mary's Cincinnati province, top photo, is due for demolition. The structure is part of the Bergamo complex and was long known as the central building at Mt. St. John, east of Dayton. High costs of renovation, heating problems made more severe by the energy crisis, and the declining need for space were cited as reasons for the decision to daze the building, erected in 1914.” (The Catholic Telegraph, February 18, 1977)
