1962: “[This] proposed church for St. Teresa's parish, Springfield, will be erected on corner property just north of the parish rectory on N. Limestone Street. The sketch shows the projected church structure and the present rectory. The exterior of the church will be of Indiana limestone and light brick, in harmony with other parish buildings. The church will accommodate 700 people at Mass.“The parish was founded in February 1931, and the present church was completed the same year. The proposed building will be the first Catholic church structure to be erected in Springfield since the same parish erected its present church facilities more than 30 years ago.” (See The Catholic Telegraph, March 23, 1962)
