Patience Rewarded

1992: “After nearly a year of construction, St. Antoninus Parish in Western Hills opened its new church. On April 10, Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk presided at a Mass to dedicate the building on the corner of Linneman Road and Julmar Drive. The new worship space replaces the basement church the parish had used since 1963.

The church’s worship area seats about 800 people in pews arranged on three sides of the altar. The ceiling rises slowly to skylights at a height of 40 feet. A separate chapel behind the sanctuary will be used for prayer groups and some weekday Masses.” (The Catholic Telegraph, May 1, 1992)

The basement was better. More intimate, more friendly!
